SEQUOYAH
A Small to medium size Arrow point that has corner notches and an expanded Stem.
The Blade is triangular and is sometimes strongly Serrated. The Tip may be
needle like on new points. Shoulders are deeply barbed. The expanded stem has a
convex basal edge. This point was named by James A. Brown. for Sequoyah County
Oklahoma and Sequoyah the Cherokee Indian Scholar.
Age and Culture : A Caddoan point made from A.D. 1000 to A.D. 1350.
Distribution : Throughout the Ozark Plateau in Missouri , Arkansas, and Eastern Oklahoma.
