RABBIT ISLAND
A small dart point with a straight to contracting stem. The blade is triangular,
having straight to slightly concave, convex, or recurved edges. Shoulders range
from angular to barbed. the Stem may be short and rectangular with a convex
basal edge and rounded corners or a contracting stem with a rounded to pointed
ends. Named by Charles M. Nelson after the type Site now under water in McNary
Reservoir.
Age and Culture : 2000 B.C. to 800 B.C.
Distribution : Washington and Oregon, primarily along the Columbia River dividing those states.
