COLUMBIA PLATEAU
This Small thin arrow point has long barbs and base to corner notches. The blade
is long and triangular with Straight to slightly concave or slightly convex edges. Shoulders
are strongly barbed, usually to the basal corners. The Stem is Short and
Straight to slightly Convex basal edge. Sometimes the basal edge will have a
small notch in it. The Columbia Plateau point was named by Douglass Osbourne,
Alan Bryan, and Robert Crabtree. from examples found in the McNary Reservoir on
the Columbia River.
Age and Culture: Made by the late prehistoric and early historic cultures dating Approximately 1400 A.D. to 1700 A.D.
Distribution: Primarily along the Columbia River and it's tributaries in Washington and Oregon.
