Broward
A Florida point type, (Bullen 1975) Late archaic, A medium to large ovate blade, corner notched leaving sharp hooked barbs and a short expanded stem with sharp basal corners. Believed to be one of the Citrus cluster the difference is in basal treatment and the blade is more narrow than Citrus. In this case the different basal shape seems to be on purpose and may have had a different use function. Made of heat altered cherts and corals the Broward is a rare type and a nice addition to any collection. Often confused with Columbia and Sarasota types. See Citrus, Culbreath, Lafayette, Columbia and Sarasota.
