Bolen Plain
Description: A Florida point type, an early archaic point, same as Bolen bevel but not beveled. This may be due to the point/knife being in the first stage of manufacture and in some cases due to the individual users sharpening technique. See Bolen bevel.
Found with other members of the Bolen family which include the
Bolen Beveled, Edgefield Scraper, Southern Hardin, and Lost Lake. The base
usually is ground and the material is usually chert which is not thermally
altered.
