ALBA


This stemmed arrow point has Straight to recurved edges on the blade, laterally expanded barbs, and a rectangular to bulbous stem with a straight to rounded basal edge. Alex a Krieger named this Type for the Town of Alba, Texas were the first examples were reported.

Age and Culture: Alba points are Associated with the early Caddoan Period dating from 900 A.D. to 1200 A.D.

Distribution: The Caddoan Areas of Northwestern Louisiana, Northeastern Texas, eastern Oklahoma, and Western Arkansas
