MACKINAW
DESCRIPITION:
The Mackinaw point is a variety of the Snyders point,differing in having narrower notches.
It was found in a cache on the Mackinaw River bluff near Mackinaw, Illinois,and was first reported by Tolley (1949:15}.
Age and Culture:
Middle Woodland dating between 100 B.C. and 350 A.D.
Distribution:
Only reported in Illinois area.
