Description: Named after the type site on the Elk River in
Limestone County,
Alabama. The blade is usually narrow in relation to width.. The stem can very
widely and can be straight, tapered, expanding, or bulbous. The defining
characteristic of this type is the oblique-transverse flaking on one or
usually both blade faces.
