About me!
I am 35 years old. I
have two children and a fiancée. I live in upstate NY. I have two
children, Bradley who is 6, and Rebecca who is 3. They also like
to look for arrowheads with me. One day my collection will be
their. I am also fond of hunting and fishing. This too my
children love. I cant wait until my children find there first
points.
How I got started collecting!
I started looking for points and other artifacts about 15 years ago. My older brother Scooch turned me on to a field where we live in a small town in upstate NY. He showed me what to look for like flint chips,darker soil,where fire pits use to be. In a matter of minutes I found my first point. It was a very nice Lamoka point. There are pleny of Lamokas here. Also a plentiful varity of other points. Actually my two older brothers and I look all and any free time that we have. We mainly walk the fresh plowed fields along the Susquehanna river in the spring time, right up until the end of June. We also like to walk the mud banks of the Susquehanna river after a good spring flood. This past flood I found two perfect celts and lots of broken pottery. Although field walking is our favorite. I have even made my brothers, some friends and myself our own personal headhunting sticks. Everything my brothers and I have we have found. They are not bought. We are not into buying and defiently dont like fakes.
What I like to collect!
i like to collect anything and everything.i have even collected types of stone tools i have found but i would say that iam fond of any type of points especially onondaga flint.
My favorite relic!
Everything I find is my favorite. But these three are my most favorite. A Susquehanna broad point, a fine celt, and a nice green point.
