About me!
I have a great husband (Larry Joe)
and 3 beautiful daughters age 15, 12 and 11. My husband and
I met in Iceland where we were both stationed in the Air
Force. I was in 11 years. We moved back to Tennessee
in 1988 and love living near the mountains. I work in a
family business selling office products and my hubbie is a police
officer. In our spare time we love to play softball,
volleyball, camp and of course search for artifacts.
How I got started collecting!
I haven't been collecting very long. We had picked up a few arrowheads in the field behind our house over the years but this past fall I went out to some other fields and started hunting on a whim. I found so many every time I went (some broken, some great) that I was hooked. LJ bought me my first book to identify points in November (the field guide) and for Christmas he designed an arrowhead display case with three levels for me to put all my points in. It is awesome.
What I like to Collect!
Right now I just get real excited when I see a perfect anything- It is so disappointing when you start to pull a point out of the dirt that looks good to begin with and it has a broken tip or base or whatever.
My Favorite Relic!
I don't know what it is but the middle one
is my favorite because it is so old looking. The others are
just a few of my favorite finds. Any help in identifying
would be appreciated. That is one of the biggest reasons
for joining this club is to learn more about the points I'm
finding and to have some reliable people to trade with.
