About me!
Hello fellow artifact collectors my name is Tim Harvell I live in Tulsa Oklahoma I'm 39 and work in construction sales, I moved here from California four years ago.
How I got started collecting!
I
started collecting arrowheads in the foot hills of the San
Juaquin valley Ca, my father in law introduced me to the hobby.
while walking around the horse corral, I asked him what they
looked like, not more than ten seconds later he reached down and
picked up a beautiful red obsidian point and said " like
this" .. Well I was off , I looked for three days straight,
hunched over , my back was killing me. I was helping my soon to
be wife across a creek and looked down , there was a perfect
black
obsidian point laying there on the sand under water, needless to
say my wife got left on a rock while I retrieved it. That was the
start of quite an obsidian collection that my father in law has
now.. After my daughter was born , I packed up my family and got
them the heck out of California, when I arrived here in Oklahoma
I discovered the Arkansas river and the rest is history. This pic
is of my daughter Chelsea Rene and I in Yosemite which is
about 45 minutes from where I used to live...
What I like to collect!
I like to collect Paleo but the adrenaline rush is the same with everything I pick up.
My favorite relic!
My favorite point, a Scottsbluff 4 1/4 inches made of Edwards chert.
