Sonora Flint

The Sonora flint source occurs in Hart Co., and Hardin Co., of central Kentucky. This flint type normally has a lot of gloss to it . Some examples have porous areas, pin point size holes, that are seen on part or all of an artifact made of Sonora. Sonora flint has some translucency to it. Colors range from light grey-blue to dark purple.
