Quartz

Quartz comes in many varieties. Milky, Rose, Rock and Smokey better describe the colors of this material. Major sources occur in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Arkansas and New England. The crystal size restricted the point makers considerably. It is very uncommon to find a well made and thin artifact made from this material. Those supplies that lacked fissures and fractures made artifacts that are of considerable value today as to their rariety.
