Neva chert
Neva chert usage probably centers around east central Kansas with artifacts flaked from this material seen in both Kansas and northern Oklahoma. It appears to have been utilized primarily in late paleo and archaic times but artifacts of later periods are found. The chert has an even consistancy with few inclusions and is generally of a toap, gray to light tan/gray in color. Material has a similarities to Foreacre chert but without the abundant fossil inclusions. It is opaque.
