Bisher CHert

Bisher Chert Occurs in Hillsbroro Ohio, Highland counties and extending into Adams County Ohio. Found in lenses in Hillsboro and nodules near Adams county. Colors vary from white to yellow, tans and creams. It can have pink to mauve inclusions caused by heat treatment. Texture is grainy, luster is earthy to chalky with fossils and porous, causing it to be a low grade stone.
