Bannerstone Holes

A bannerstone that was discarded because in the drilling process the hole went astray and came out the side

A bannerstone that drilling was begun on but never finished. Notice the dimple in the center of the hole, a hollow reed was used to drill this banner.

A broken bannerstone that shows about 1/3 of the original hole

Another broken bannerstone that shows a little over half of the hole. This is a great view of what a proper hole should look like.

Bannerstone Side

A side view of the ruined bannerstone .See where the hole comes out the side.

A side view of the never finished bannerstone.

These pictures are front and back of a bannerstone preform . This is a very interesting relic that I have only seen a few of. Notice the squared area in the center ,this is a little over an inch thick. The rest of the preform is about 3/8" thick.
